KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Smoky flavors are spreading like wildfire across menus.
Pizza Hut is heating up its portfolio with new Smoky Sriracha Wings. The fried chicken wings are tossed in a blend of red jalapeño chili puree, garlic and a touch of vinegar. The wings are available in boneless or traditional formats for a limited time.
Fazoli’s is featuring smoky flavors in five new dishes.
The Smoky Bacon Pasta Bake contains orecchiette pasta topped with a creamy, smoky gouda cheese sauce loaded with chopped bacon and baked with mozzarella and gouda cheeses.
The Blackened Shrimp and Chicken Bake features shrimp simmered in a smoky gouda cheese sauce with blackened chicken and fire-roasted red peppers atop orecchiette pasta, baked with mozzarella and gouda cheeses.
The Smoky Chicken Carbonara Bake includes spaghetti topped with a smoky gouda cheese sauce, chopped bacon, blackened chicken, roasted broccoli and fire-roasted red peppers, baked with mozzarella and gouda cheeses.
The Smoky Bacon Breadsticks dish has a cheesy pull-apart bread made with Fazoli’s garlic breadsticks topped with mozzarella and chopped bacon and served with a smoky gouda cheese sauce for dipping.
The S’mores Breadsticks Bites feature Fazoli’s breadsticks tossed in brown sugar, cinnamon and graham cracker crumbs topped with toasted marshmallow and melted chocolate.

Smoky chicken is the star of the new Southwest Chicken Sandwich from Quaker Steak & Lube. The hot handheld features a smoky, seasoned and grilled chicken breast topped with melted pepper jack cheese, sliced avocado, pico de gallo, spicy mango habanero dusted tortilla strips and chipotle ranch served on a garlic toasted brioche bun.
