The Laurel, Mississippi-based company promoted Chisholm to the director of operations, which makes him responsible for managing processing, live production and sales operation. Chisholm previously worked as director of production for Sanderson since 2017.
“I look forward to the opportunity to influence our operations from the start to the finish of our vertically-integrated model,” Chisholm said. “Whether it’s growing a healthy bird in live production, producing the finest quality product in our processing operations or providing the best customer service our industry has to offer, each stage of our operations is equally important to ensuring the company’s continued success, and I am honored to have the opportunity to make an impact.”
Chisholm started with Sanderson in 1998 as a hatchery superintendent at the company’s Hazelhurst, Mississippi production facility. “I have worked alongside Mike for nearly a decade now in various roles, and I know he will do an excellent job of leading our live production team,” said Chisholm. “I look forward to continuing to work with him as we both transition into new roles within the company’s leadership team.”
Tamimi started with Sanderson in 2008 as a production manager at the company’s Adel, Georgia production division. During his tenure with the company, Tamimi has held numerous positions throughout the live production side of the business including serving as division manager for five years.
