ANKENY, IOWA — Ena Williams has been named to the newly created role of chief operating officer at Casey’s General Stores Inc. She joins the convenience store retailer alongside Steve Bramlage, chief financial officer. Bramlage succeeds Bill Walljasper, who will remain at the company as an executive adviser to assist with the transition.
Williams will oversee store operations, fuel procurement and delivery, new store development, transportation and distribution in her new role. She brings a decade of experience at 7-Eleven, where she was senior vice president and head of international. Before that, she spent more than 15 years at Exxon Mobile and Mobile Corp. in a variety of roles, including area manager for the West Coast and Midwest, operations manager for Virginia, category manager for US convenience retail, global banking operations manager and transportation analyst. She most recently was chief executive officer at medical equipment provider National HME, Inc.
Prior to joining Casey’s, Bramlage was CFO at Aramark and glass manufacturer Owens-Illinois. He also held financial leadership roles at PPG Industries, Eli-Lilley and Ernst & Young.
The additions will accelerate several initiatives at Casey’s, including the establishment of a dedicated mergers and acquisitions team and improved asset protection and centralized procurement capabilities, the company said.
“Casey’s is fortunate to have two phenomenal leaders with deep expertise in their fields join the team, particularly during this time of unprecedented change,” said Darren Rebelez, CEO at Casey’s General Stores. “I’m confident they will strengthen our efforts to deliver on our strategic plan to not only lead our industry, but also remain among the top quintile of all retailers nationwide.”
