CHICAGO – Dec. 2 of this year marks the return of McDonald’s McRib sandwich. But this year, the LTO will be rolled out nationwide for the first time since 2012. Customers across the country will have a chance to enjoy the seasoned boneless pork with barbecue sauce, topped with slivered onions and pickles.

“The McRib has been a beloved menu item at McDonald’s since its inception nearly 40 years ago,” said vice president of Menu Innovation, Linda VanGosen. “There’s nothing quite like the taste of the McRib. To our customers, it’s become more than a delicious, saucy moment, it’s a season, and it’s taking the internet by storm. That’s why this year, we're proud to serve the McRib nationwide for everyone to enjoy.”

The McDonald’s McRib debuted in 1982 and became one of the QSR chain’s most popular LTOs. Fans in Germany get the sandwich all year. McDonald’s is excited for customers to get a taste starting Dec. 2 at participating locations via carry-out, drive thru, the McDonald’s app or McDelivery.
