SAN DIEGO — Timothy Mullany has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer at Jack in the Box Inc.

He joins the quick-service restaurant from health club operator Vasa Fitness, where he was CFO. Before that he was CFO at Rave Restaurant Group, Inc., where he helped scale Pie Five Pizza from a regional startup to a national chain. He also held CFO roles at Restaurants Unlimited Inc., which operates 14 upscale and casual restaurant brands, including Kincaid’s and Henry’s Tavern, and Consumer Capital Partners, a franchisor and operator of the Smashburger and Quiznos brands.

He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Villanova University and a master’s degree in business administration at Columbia University.
