ATLANTA – Chick-fil-A Inc. will begin the new year by offering a grilled version of its spicy chicken menu items. Participating stores nationwide will offer The Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich for a limited time only (LTO) starting Jan. 25. 

The company developed the LTO Grilled Spicy Deluxe and tested it in select markets in 2017. The offering received positive feedback from guests and will be the first LTO featured on the national menu since Summer 2019. It features marinated grilled chicken with Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce and tomato on a toasted multigrain brioche bun. Chick-fil-A also created a packet of LTO Cilantro Lime Sauce specifically for the sandwich.

“We know guests are looking to add more variety to their meals, especially after a year where new food experiences were limited,” said Leslie Neslage, director of menu and packaging at Chick-fil-A Inc. “The Grilled Spicy Deluxe is a flavorful twist on our current grilled offerings that we have been testing in select markets since 2017, and it provides a bold break from the standard lunch and dinner routines. We dedicate an average of eighteen months to testing a new item before adding it to the national menu, which allows us time to ensure we can best support our restaurant team members while delivering a taste guests will love.”

Chick-fil-A recommends pairing the new sandwich with its seasonal Chicken Tortilla Soup, featuring shredded chicken with navy and black beans with a blend of vegetables and spices. The chicken-centric quick service restaurant (QSR) plans to add more LTO menu options throughout year and stresses hospitality and safe service as a signature of its brand.
