EL SEGUNDO, CALIF. — Two veterans of Tyson Foods Inc. are joining the leadership team at Beyond Meat Inc. Doug Ramsey has been named chief operating officer, and Bernie Adcock has been tapped for the newly created role of chief supply chain officer.
Ramsey spent three decades with Tyson Foods, where he held several leadership roles that included group president of the poultry segment and president of the global McDonald’s business. A 31-year veteran of Tyson Foods, Adcock most recently was chief supply chain officer there, helping to scale the company’s poultry business.
At Beyond Meat, Ramsey and Adcock will be involved in growing the company’s operations, supply chain and manufacturing in the United States, European Union and China, and driving efficiencies to reduce costs. The pair joins the company during a period of rapid innovation and commercialization. Beyond Meat has introduced more than a dozen new products in the past two years. Over the past year, the company has established key partnerships with McDonald’s, Yum! Brands and PepsiCo, Inc.
