SILOAM SPRINGS, ARK. – Cobb-Vantress Inc., a subsidiary of Tyson Foods Inc., which focuses on broiler breeding announced the hiring of Joyce Lee as its next president. Lee will succeed Stan Reid, who has served as interim president since 2020 and will continue to serve in a supporting role.
With a background that includes working in the poultry industry years ago, Lee most recently worked in numerous executive roles in the animal health sector. She joined Cobb after working as president of Elanco’s pet health and commercial operations business sector. She will report to David Bray, Tyson’s group president of poultry.
Prior to being acquired by Elanco in 2020, Lee was president of Bayer Animal Health’s North American business segment. Before that, she worked for more than 16 years at Zoetis, formerly known as Pfizer Animal Health, in a variety of executive positions.
“We’re incredibly pleased to welcome Joyce to the Cobb team," Bray said. “She’s an experienced leader who cares deeply about the health of the animals and delivering for our customers. Based on her proven track record of innovation, we’re confident she will drive Cobb and the entire industry forward.”
Lee said after entering the poultry industry 15 years ago, she is looking forward to coming back and working alongside people with a shared commitment and mission.
“As the foundation of the poultry supply chain, Cobb plays a critical role in helping feed the world with healthy, sustainable and affordable chicken. I’m honored to be a part of the industry that makes a significant difference in our society.”
Lee is a native of Houston, Texas, and received a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University, and a Master of Business Administration from Jacksonville University in Florida.
