BOISE, IDAHO – Agri Beef has unveiled plans to build a biofuels plant that might become a way for many small meat plants in the Northwest to add value to their tallow and waste grease. It will be the first such plant in the region. Agri Beef subsidiary, AB BioEnergy received $2 million in state grants and loan funds to build the plant. The facility will likely be in the Yakima Valley, near Agri Beef’s AB Foods’ beef processing plant in Toppenish.
