LIVINGSTON, CALIF. — On July 14, Foster Farms, a subsidiary of Atlas Holdings, announced an increase of entry level wages to $20 per hour for its workers in the Livingston, Calif., area.
Foster Farms employees also qualify for a comprehensive health care plan and for disability and life insurance coverage.
Foster Farms said is it reviewing its vacation policy to allow employees to accumulate vacation time earlier and get paid-time-off for personal and family matters.
“This challenging economy and our commitment to take care of our valued team members requires us to not only be competitive in our industry but also within the communities in which we operate from a wages and benefits perspective,” said Arturo Towns, Foster Farms chief human resources officer. “This is an important first step in building a culture nobody wants to walk away from.”
