KANSAS CITY, MO. — Spicy flavors are heating up seasonal menus.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has unveiled its fall menu, featuring Kick’n Ranch Fried Chicken, with buttermilk ranch seasoning and a Buffalo ranch sauce, served with a side of pickle ranch for dipping.
Romano’s Macaroni Grill is featuring Buffalo chicken Parmesan in three menu selections. The Buffalo chicken Parmesan dish has crispy Parmesan chicken, gorgonzola alfredo capellini with spicy lemon butter sauce, celery and Calabrian peppers. The Buffalo chicken Parmesan sandwich features crispy Parmesan chicken, blue cheese crumbles, celery, Buffalo sauce and ranch served on a ciabatta roll with Parmesan truffle fries. The Buffalo chicken Parmesan macaroni and cheese has crispy Parmesan chicken, blue cheese crumbles, celery, Buffalo sauce and ranch on macaroni and cheese.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is testing chicken al pastor in select markets. The protein option has the flavors of spicy adobo, achiote, morita peppers, pineapple, chipotle and lime juice.
“We created Chicken Al Pastor to fuel our fans who have been craving spicy chicken from Chipotle,” said Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer. “The new menu item artfully pairs fire with flavor in a uniquely Chipotle way.”
