SILOAM SPRINGS, ARK.— Cobb-Vantress Inc., a subsidiary of Tyson Foods Inc. that specializes in poultry breeding, announced on Aug. 1 that it appointed Bernardo Gallo to lead its newly formed Latin American Canada business unit.
“Bernardo is a proven, well-respected leader within Cobb and is uniquely suited to lead this important business for our company,” said Joyce J. Lee, president of Cobb. “His knowledge and familiarity of our customers makes him an ideal leader to further grow Cobb’s influence in this leading poultry region. I am confident he is the right choice to advance our team in the region to even greater success.”
A native of Brazil, Gallo is a veterinarian who focuses on poultry.
In his time with Cobb, Gallo has held various leadership roles. During his career, he also worked in sales, technical leadership, nutrition, and veterinarian services with Tyson Foods, BRF, Cargill and Globoaves.
“I am humbled by the opportunity to lead this newly combined, progressive part of the Cobb business,” Gallo said. “By bringing the South America, Central America, Mexico and Canada businesses all into one team, we will all realize many benefits and help each other grow and evolve to meet customer demands across our region. Our team members across this geography have already demonstrated that they can deliver, and together, I’m confident we’ll continue to raise the bar.”
