ALBERTVILLE, ALA. — FSGroup, a supplier of customized services and tailored solutions for material transport equipment in the food and beverage industries, announced that Gene Pledger was named operations manager for the firm. 

Pledger was hired full-time after working as a consultant for the leadership team to analyze processors and develop strategies to optimize workflow.

In the role of operations manager, Pledger will work with the chief operating officer and others on the FSGroup executive team to develop plans, objectives and strategies. A big portion of the responsibilities will focus on maintaining systems to track production performance on quality, accuracy and timeliness.

Pledger’s background includes APICS IDP Master Instructor with extensive supply chain certifications (CSCP, CPIM, CTSC, SCOR-DS) along with experience with strategic procurement and commodity market analysis in processing equipment manufacturing.
