ORLANDO, Fla. – Prepared foods, meat and poultry are playing a major role in value-added product offerings at two newly remodeled Winn-Dixie stores located in Longwood and Fern Park, Fla.
A new prepared foods section serving restaurant-quality entrées and side dishes is being offered at both locations. A wide variety of prepared foods ranging from made-to-order pizza, chicken wings, barbecue bar and a carving station with fresh poultry, prime rib, fish and more are being prepared under the direction of experienced chefs.
Expanded meat and seafood departments, bakeries, a gourmet cheese counter and self-service kiosks for meal planning among other features are available at both stores, which will also carry Winn-Dixie and Winn-Dixie Organic & Natural private-label products.
Other meat and poultry-related features at the newly remodeled stores include:
- An expanded deli department with wood-burning rotisserie, carving station serving freshly roasted meats plus a custom sandwich and sub shop.
- A wide variety of meats carved to order in the full-service meat department.
- Hot food selections, including fresh, made-to-order pastas, barbecue, fried chicken, meatloaf, and wing bar serving seven flavors of chicken wings, among other offerings.
Both stores represent the second and third “transformational” remodeled Winn-Dixie stores in Central Florida, and the seventh and eighth respectively for the company.
