The Supreme Court recently ruled against the agency in the case.

The company is the third pork processor to reach an agreement with a class of direct purchasers.

A California court order allows pork producers more time to comply with the law.

The processor agreed to pay over $62,000.

The case began in 2005.

Republican members signed the legislation last week.

The group considers the requirements to be overly strict and activist driven. 

If approved, the company would pay $8 million toward the direct purchaser lawsuit.

A US District Court said buyers of the company’s beef from fed cattle since 2015 are potentially part of the settlement class.
