Industry thought leaders will take the stage to share their insights at the Pet Food Processing Exchange.

The processor claims the city of Dawsonville inaccurately classified its wastewater as “high strength.”

The pork producer notified Denmark’s Supreme Court of its response to the claims last week.

Previous settlements were made in 2023 with prominent pork companies.

The lawsuit alleged certain meat, poultry, seafood and fruit products were sold higher than the lowest in-store advertised price.

Rick Stott said the company is working to inform and educate the public about its commitment to the community. 

Several other major companies settled in 2022 and 2023.

The next step for the legislation will be a full senate vote.

The bill would allow discharge of poultry waste into waters of the state.
