A Texas A&M research team received a $500,000 USDA grant to explore using amino acids to achieve natural curing.

The company submitted a petition to the high court last year.

The organization is touring the cattle feeding and beef processing facility in Mexico.

Joanne Knight was named CFO, and Philippa Purser head of strategy and global process leader.

The USDA, NASDA, NPPC and NPB are all part of the new partnership.

The company said the investment would be $100 million. 

Williams Sausage Co. was founded in 1958 and operated two plants in Tennessee. 

The category topped sales of $229 billion in 2022.

The company reached an agreement with the DOL in December.
