DALLAS — Dickey's Barbecue Pit and Sonny’s BBQ announced promotions commemorating National Pulled Pork Day on Oct. 12. Dickeys is offering its Pulled Pork Classic Sandwiches at 50 percent off the regular menu price on Friday, at participating locations.
"At Dickey's Barbecue Pit, we are known for our slow-smoked pulled pork recipe that has been passed down in the Dickey's family for generations," says Trevor Wilson, vice president of marketing at Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants Inc. "We are proud to share this day with our guests by offering them a great deal on our delicious sandwiches."
Meanwhile, Winter Park, Florida-based Sonny’s BBQ utilized social media channels to promote its celebration of the food holiday by combining donuts and pulled pork. Sonny’s used Twitter to lure customers with this post:

Other items on the Sonny’s BBQ menu to celebrate National Pulled Pork Day include the Sweeter Carolina and Loaded Pulled Pork Tots. Sonny’s BBQ also said it will give customers a chance to win free pulled pork for a year, by joining the mobile VIP club.
