The company is constructing a new, sustainable facility to integrate all manufacturing capabilities under one roof.

The company expects to open the $134 million facility by 2024.

Grants were distributed across 37 states to 111 meat and poultry processors.

The investment will go toward building, machinery and equipment costs.

The retail giant will also have representation on the beef processor’s board.

The new facility will produce a variety of frozen meatballs, sliced sausage and toppings.

The hearing would have addressed the renewal of the permit for the poultry processor’s shuttered Creswell, Ore., facility.

The company plans to scale its products in the near future.

Perdue Farms’ facilities received nine of the 29 Awards of Distinction.
